Unibroue - Trios Pistoles (9.4% ABV)


Unibroue - Trios Pistoles (9.4% ABV)
- Not much aromatics, hints of fruits
- Light, mebby medium body feel, clean tasting
- Surprisingly mellow, but dark, malty taste
- Fairly clean aftertaste, but light trail of fruit & malts
- I wasn't sure of what to expect from this
- It's different, but not too odd or weird
- I would probably pick it up again, 7/10

Scuttlebutt 10* Below (7.4% ABV)
- Light malty aromatics
- Medium-heavy, but clean malty flavors
- Nice bit of smokey flavors too..maybe a dash of coffee
- This is an awesome Winter brew, just the right amount of malty, smokey flavors
- Medium bodied, but clean feeling, hardly any aftertaste
- Highly recommended 8/10

Ninkasi - Tricerahops Double IPA (8.8% ABV)


Ninkasi - Tricerahops Double IPA (8.8% ABV)
- Flowery, sweetish hops smell
- Great flowery hop taste, medium bitterness, alil malty too
- Aftertaste is pretty clean, not much bitterness or malty
- ...slight trail of bitter hops at the very end
- This is a great beer, and high % too!
- If you like flowery hoppy beers, with a slightly malty & higher alcohol content, get this!
- 8/10

Rogue - Kells Irish Style Ale (12* PLATO, 28 IBU, 75AA, 9.8* L)
- Ingredients: Great Western Pale, Crystal-15, Wheat & Acidulated Malts; Sterling Hops, Free Range Coastal Waters & Czech Pils Yeast.

....hard to review...

I am not sure if Ive done may Lager reviews...

I think thats why its different to review, its way different. Almost more yeasty tasting, not really malty or grainy or hoppy...but just different.

Stone - 13th Anniversary Ale (9.5% ABV)
- Malty alcohol & hoppy aromatics
- Medium-heavy malty & hoppy flavors
- Unique malty & strong alcohol flavor...not too overpowering, but malty & hoppy & alcohol
- Medium body, same but lighter malty & hoppy after taste
- If you like medium-heavy malty, hoppy & strong beers, you'll like this.
- If I wanted to get CRUNK and wanted a microbrew instead of rot gut beer, I would get this
- Not quite sure if would buy again, 6.5/10

Samuel Smith's - Winter Welcome Ale (6.0% ABV)


Samuel Smith's - Winter Welcome Ale (6.0% ABV)
- Hardly any aromatics, hints of malt
- medium-light malty (like honey) & light spice taste
- light bodied, pretty clean after taste
- I was expecting a thicker heartier ale, but I like this
- I would buy it again, 7/10

Sheaf Stout (5.7% ABV)
- light dark smokey malty aromatics
- Dark, heavy, lil smokey, hint of coffee maybe
- Medium~thick body
- I like this one too, 7.5/10

Spaten Optimator 'Doppel Bock' (7.2% ABV)


Spaten Optimator 'Doppel Bock' (7.2% ABV)
- Not much aromatics, light mix of dark grains & malts
- Taste is very darn good, medium silky body, deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor
- After taste finishes off pretty clean, light lingering of the malt flavors
- Me Likey! 9/10

New Belgium 2 Below Ale (6.6% ABV)


New Belgium 2 Below Ale (6.6% ABV)
- very slight hoppy ipa aromatics
- taste is a mixture of light flowery/spicy bitter IPA & malty-ish spices
- light body, abit of silky maltyness
- after taste is like initial, finishes with light lingering malty ipa
- Not bad for a seasonal winter ale, IPA like with extra flavors
- 7/10

Blue Moon - Harvest Moon (5.7% ABV)


Blue Moon - Harvest Moon (5.7% ABV)
- Not much aromatics at all
- Taste is light bodied, crisp & clean, light amber maltyness, abit of pumpkin spice flavor
- After taste is barely there, slight lingering of the malts & spice
- Looking for a clean crisp, lightly malty & pumpkin spice beer, get this one
- 7/10

- Slight malty & grain aromatics
- Initial taste is medium grain & malt flavors, hint of spicey hops
- Light to medium body, clean crisp
- Aftertaste is also slightly spicey and abit of hoppy bitterness
- Darn good beer, 8/10

Ninkasi - Total Domination IPA (6.7% ABV)


Ninkasi - Total Domination IPA (6.7% ABV)
- Light Flowery/Spicey Aromatics
- Initial taste is medium bitter spicey-ish hoppy,
- Medium body feel, silky
- After taste is like initial, and bitter hoppyness goes down, but lingers slightly
- I like this one, 8/10

- Light Citrus/Spiceyness Aromatics
- Light-Medium Bodied, Citrus & Spicey flavor, similar after taste
- Not that bad, pretty decent for 8.2%, I'd give it 7/10

edit: I feel like I need something salty to go with it...

- Not much aromatics, hoppy or spicy or sweet
- Taste is abit different, not traditional Belgian Wit at all. Almost like a Pilsner with a slight sweet & spicy, light bodied, lil bit odd after taste.
- Not sure if I would buy again, 5/10 .. abit funny

- Pop the cap, and I got a whit/white Belgian sweetness type smell
- Taste is kinda like a white Belgian with light pumpkin flavor & hints of spice
- After taste is light, crisp, not bitter, or hoppy.

Limited Edition Red Hook Triple Belgian Style Ale (10.2% ABV)
- Different kind of triple that's for sure...
- Not sweet light malty like others I've had
- Abit spicey grain kinda of flavor, not citrusy/lemony like others

edit 1: MEH!! this tripel is very odd tasting....dont like it much at all. Thank goodness i have some Ruffles chips to mask the taste.

edit 2: PLEH!!! I really dont like this at all!

- Very different smell, sweet malty
- Similar taste & after taste, sweet malty
- Reminds me of a Koningshoeven Bockbier I had some months ago.

edit: I take that last comment back..though the initial taste is similar to Koningshoeven Bockbier ... the after taste is not that good. It prolly is a decent beer, it's just not for my taste buds.

edit 2: Man..the aftertaste is getting worse and worse when the beer is warming up! I would rather drink what I call "NASCAR Beer" (Bud Lite, MGD, Coors Lite), than taste the aftertaste of this He'Brew.

- Dry hopped flowery smell
- Surprisingly not that bitter (to me I guess) despite the 102 IBU
- It is bitter, but not face wincing bitter..but a very nice flower hopps bitter
- Little hints of citrus and spices
- Slight bitter-sweet after taste, cleans up nicely
- This maybe my new fav, I really like this one alot! 10/10

- Light-Medium body, light bold hoppy bitterness, hints of citrus & grains
- Medium-light bitter after taste, but cleans up quickly

New beer from Rogue, Captain Sig's Deadliest Ale
- Tastes like an IPA & Nut Brown Ale mated and produced this offspring.
- Bitter hoppy flavors, slight flowery hoppy smell & taste.
- Can't quite place it, but there's a nutty, brown ale taste to it.
- For something different from a IPA or Brown Ale, this is pretty good.
- I'd buy it again, hmmm.. 7.5/10 overall

Hale's Ales Red Menace Big Amber Ale
- Light hoppy & grain aromatics
- Taste is IPA-ish, light bitter & slight flowery hops
- Smooth medium body feel
- Also slight hoppy spicey finish
- I like this, 7.5/10

Lambic Cassis (Black Currant)


Lambic Cassis (Black Currant)
- Also Corked (forgot to mention that is capped too, and corked like wine)
- Odd smell, I don't think I've had Black Currants before..so the smell is odd
- Taste is like...weird...almost like a cheep wine cooler, but more of a wine taste
- I don't like it much, the taste is very odd to me
- 4/10, but I can drink it, just very odd tasting.

Lambic Peche


Lambic Peche
- 1st of all its corked! Had to open it like wine.
- Initial smell is a bit like cheep malt liquor beer...that was odd
- Taste is nothing like malt liquor
- Semi-sweet peach flavors, bubbly CO-2, finish is also peachy sweet
- This one is different: corked, 1st smell is malty (like Old English 800), but is peachy sweet & bubbly
- Not bad, different 7/10

Boulevard Brewing - Double-Wide IPA
- Light Flowery hoppy aromatics
- Initial taste is flowery-bittery hoppyness, semi-sweet malts, then a mild spicy hoppy finish
- Mmmmm, this is also very good, abit more semi-sweet flowery than Stone IPA/Ruination
- Comes corked like champagne, 8.5/10
