Stone - 16th Anniversary IPA (10% ABV)

Stone - 16th Anniversary IPA (10% ABV)
- Wonderful aromas of the Amarillo and Calypso hops
- Little CO2 head, creamy, small, tight bubbles
- Deep golden amber in color, slightly cloudy
- Very close to their regular IPA, but a bit lighter in hops, slightly sweeter & a hint of lemon .. maybe slightly spicy
- Medium bodied feel, creamy/silky texture, not much CO2
- Aftertaste has a lingering light hoppy bitterness/sourness, and lemon/citrus bitter/sour
- I wasn't sure to expect from this, I like it, it's different .. 7/10

- Very light bread like aromatics
- Dark brown color, lots of head, mix of big & tight bubbles
- Medium-smooth mouthy feel, light CO2 feeling on the tongue
- Mmmm .. very nice well rounded brown ale
- Not too malty, not to grain/bread like .. hardly any hops (if any really)
- Almost a light, balanced brown ale .. I'd get it again, 6.5/10

Midnight Sun Brewing - Artic Rhino, Coffee Porter (5.0% ABV, 20 IBUS)
- Very very light roasted malt aromatics
- Medium/heavy bodied & mouthy feel .. not creamy-smooth, not light-dry either
- Hmm .. oddly nothing really stands out or is overpowering
- Not quite coffee-y at all .. kinda like a balanced light porter
- Not very malty/alcholy, not bread/grains tasting, I can't taste any hops
- This is an odd one .. but I kinda like it .. 6.5/10
