Full Sail - Wreck the Halls: Hoppy Holiday Ale (6.5% ABV)
- Light fresh/dry hoppyness aromatics
- Medium bodied feel, crisp/clean but very nice hoppy bitterness
- It starts to smell more fresh/dry hoppy when I am drinking it .. this is good
- Again, nice clean, fresh/dry hoppy aftertaste finish, not too bitter, not too flowery/sweet
- Oh man I REALLY LIKE THIS ALOT! This is my fav Holiday beer yet!
- 9/10!

BridgePort - Nightcap Winter Ale (7.2% ABV)


BridgePort - Nightcap Winter Ale (7.2% ABV)
- Very light hint of malt/grains aromatics
- Medium bodied mouthy feel, good amount of head when poured, but not very CO2 feeling
- Nice clean, clear grain/malt flavors, light hint of hops bitterness
- Slight hint of the Bourbon Oak Barrels ..
- Very clean finish, just a slight smooth trail of malts/grains
- I really like this alot, highly recommend it to anyone
- 8.5/10

Ninkasi - Sleighr Dark Double Ale (7.2% ABV)
- Light hint of rich dark malt aromatics
- Medium-heavy mouthy feel, very light CO2, almost creamy like a Stout
- Medium-light roasted/portery maltyness, light hint of bitter hops
- Trailing smooth, but slightly bitter hops finish
- I think this would go great with a Steak & Potatoes dinner
- It's a bit mild/mellow, nothing quite pops out, but it's a nice blend of everything
- I'd defiantly get it again, 7.5/10

- Hint of stout burnt/smokey aromatics
- Clean, medium bodied, smooth stoutness
- same clean aftertaste, nothing really lingers
- I really like this, its lightly burnt/smokey, hearty .. yet clean on the palette
- I'd get this again forsure, 7/10

- Hardly any aromatics at all
- Thick, smokey, burnt stouty goodness with a very nice hoppy bitterness
- similar aftertaste, slightly creamy too
- man I really love this beer, I highly recommend it for stout & ipa lovers
- I want a case of this stuff! 8/10

Stone Brewery - Vertical Epic 10.10.10 (9.5% ABV)
- Light honey aromatics, kinda like a Belgian Ale
- Initial taste is kinda like zest of an Orange peel but it's not orangey
- Light bitterness, not hoppy at all
- Aftertaste is similar, trails to a bit of an odd taste .. coppery mebby?
- Hmmm..not to sure about this years Vertical Epic
- Either my taste buds are all wacked, or it just has abit of an odd taste
- Man, the 9.5% is already getting me lightly buzzed
- I got a 2nd bottle along with this one...I'll give that ago soon

- Light bitter/flowery Hops aromatics
- Man this stuff is DARK! It's like a Porter or a Stout in color!
- Mmmmmmm...MAN! Medium-heavy body, semi-smooth/velvety feel
- Light smokey porter taste, with medium cascade bitter/flowery hops
- Aftertaste you get more of the smokeyness, and the bitterness trails off
- Wow! such a complex IPA like beer! I really like it!
- Highly recommend if you want a smokey, dark, velvety IPA/Porter beer!
- 8.5/10

Red Hook - Big Ballard Imperial IPA (8.6% ABV)


Red Hook - Big Ballard Imperial IPA (8.6% ABV)
- Nice hint of hoppy, flowery aromatics
- Mmmmm, yummy semi-sweet amber malt taste, medium-light hoppy bitterness
- Similar aftertaste, nice and smooth too
- I can't tell that it is a 8.6% ABV beer, it is not malty-alcoholy tasting at all
- The more I drink it, the more I am really liking it!
- Highly recommend it if you want a semi-bitter/sweet IPA with pretty high ABV
- 8.5/10

- Light aromatics...malty, not flowery/hoppy
- light-medium bodied, semi burnt grain/hops taste or something...
- different bitter taste, because of the burst something...but it's not a dark ale
- "Spotless" ... sure the looks are..but the taste is odd!
- Not liking this one much, odd bitterness... 5/10

Stone - 14th Imperial IPA (June 2010, 8.9% ABV)
- Light sweet/flowery aromatics
- WHOA...it's like a IPA & Hefe hybrid
- medium, unfiltered feel & look, very light semi-sweet hefe taste, with bitter hops finish
- Aftertaste maybe slight citrus, but defo bitter hops .. lingers around, but not strong
- This was unexpected, I didn't know what it would be..but its more like a unfiltered IPA with very slight citrus/semi-sweet hefe in it.
- 7.5/10

Firestone, Union Jack, Walker - IPA (7.5% ABV)


Firestone, Union Jack, Walker - IPA (7.5% ABV)
- Lots of fresh/dried flowery hops aromatics!
- Medium body feel, clean, fairly bitter & amber ale tasting
- If I were to imagine a good basic IPA taste, it would be this. Flowery hops aromatics, amber malts taste with plenty of bitterness.
- It all blends pretty evenly, but slightly more bitterness.
- Aftertaste has typical bitterness..and slight copper metal too, just slightly
- I like this one, different, but same..7/10

- Sweet malty aromatics .. I know its odd, but smelled abit like Kookaburra Red Licorice
- Hmmmm, light semi-sweet and not too bitter, light~medium bodied, good amt of CO2 (but not alot)
- Aftertaste is alil different, very slight coppery taste with the semi-sweet & bitter hopps
- This is a different IPA, semi-sweetish (but not flowery sweet like other hops), light hoppy bitterness
- I would buy it again to see if a different batch is similar or different, 6.5/10

- I've had this many times for years, and is by far one of my fav Hefes'
- Will buy it again .. and again, 8.5/10

Pyramid - Curve Ball, Blond Ale (5.0% ABV)
- Hardly any aromatics
- Light bodied, clean, very light hop bitterness, not malty at all, a bit more grainy kinda taste
- This is a blonde ale...but almost tastes like an American Pils lager.
- If you're used to lightweight Pilsner lagers, and want to try an Ale, get this
- Otherwise, for us Hop-Heads, stay clear .. unless you want a very light ale
- I might get it again, for a very hot day, 5/10

- Very very light aromatics, can't tell what they are
- Coriander, with bits of tangy citrus falvors
- Tangy-bitter aftertaste, trails off with coriander
- Light-medium feel, CO2-y but goes away fast, just like the Abbey
- Hmm, these Abbey/Belgian styles are not really my thing, its good but mot my thing
- I might get it again, 6.5/10

- Sweet banana & lemon type aromatics
- Hmmm, semi-bitter/tart, banana & lemon zest, some caramel too
- Medium-light body feel, it has a fast CO2 feel to, gets bubbly, but goes away fast
- Aftertaste has trails of coriander & slighty nutty
- Abit odd for me, taste is good & not bad, but not quite my thing..7/10

- Mmmm, semi-sweet, semi-tangy, kinda honey-apple flavors
- This is a lager, so for me it's a bit hard to distinguish the tastes
- I am getting to like this one, its nice & easy to drink
- I'd get it again for sure 7.5/10

- Not much aromatics, mebby dark smokey malts...but not much
- Dark, semi-burnt/smokey flavor...a bit different
- Aftertaste has same characteristics..
- Not good, but not bad..odd burnt/smokey flavor .. 6/10

- Comes in a can with Nitro ping-pong ball
- Mmmm, thick, fluffy nitro goodyness head
- Light amber malty aromatics, hints of orange citrus
- Mmmmm, oh man .. rich creamy, red~amber malts flavor with slight orange~citrus sweetness
- Bit of a flowery sweet hoppyness to it too, not bitter
- I wish I got more than one can, this is good! 8.5/10

Boddingtons: Pub Ale


Boddingtons: Pub Ale
- Comes in a tall-boy can with ping-pong nitro thingy
- Not much aromatics, slight light malts & grains
- Mmmm, rich smooth creamy head & mouthy feel
- Mmmm, nice bitter-sweet light amber malts ale flavor, some orange/citrus flavors too
- Aftertaste cleans up pretty good, slight orange/citrus & creamy
- I didn't know what to expect from a beer like this
- It's pretty darn good, lovin the creamy smooth Nitro texture & taste
- I am diffidently going to get this again during St. Pattys day for Black& Tans!
- Highly recommend it if you like nitro ales, 7.5/10

Lazy Boy: Mistletoe Bliss Winter Ale (7.8% ABV)


Lazy Boy: Mistletoe Bliss Winter Ale (7.8% ABV)
- Dark, semi alcoholy malty aromatics
- Dark semi-bitter malts, slight alcoholy, hints of some spice & some kind of citrus flavors
- Kinda like a high % ABV dark brown ale with semi-bitter & spice
- After taste mebby has traces of chocolate, but trails with alcoholy malts, lingers slightly
- Different for a Winter ale, besides the high ABV %
- I would try it again, 6.5/10

- Slight bitter hoppy & amber malt aromatics
- Crisp amber & bitter hops taste, with a medium body feel
- Aftertaste is similar, and cleans up fairly quick
- Mmmm, not bad .. kinda like a amber ale with crisp hoppy bitterness
- I would get it agian, recommend it if you want a bitter hoppy amber ale, 7/10

- Light, sweet/flowery hoppy aromatics and light amber malts
- Smooth, clean, slightly bitter, fresh cascade area hops and amber malty taste
- Perfect blend of hops, malts, grains taste
- I can't get enuff of this stuff ever since I found Gallaghers Where U Brew
- Highly recommend it, I buy it every chance I get, 9/10

- Hmmm, odd ale flavor, it's almost more like a lager .. very different flavors
- Neither really malty or hoppy ..
- Not sure if I would buy it again, too odd flavors, 5/10

- Light-moderate honey taste, fairly clean aftertaste

- Hmmm, pretty good for a non-hoppy beer, I would get it again, 6.5/10

- Malty-Hoppy aromatics, bit of spicy hops
- Malty, caramel, honey taste with pine/juniper berry hops taste
- I would also guess there is brown sugar & vanilla in this also
- Wow, this is different than what I thought it would be...
- I was guessing it was face twisting & malty alcoholy bitter..but it's not
- I kind alike this! not flowery hoppy, but brown sugar/vanilla tasting
- I would buy this again, 8/10

- MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
- 00ber fresh flowery~sweet hops aromatics! but not too sweet, but oh-so flowery <3
- Taste is O.M.F.G.!! Northwest Hops at it's best! perfect blend of fresh/dry Cascade and/or Willamette hops!
- So, so fresh & flowery, not very bitter but it's still bitter
- Main and aftertaste has a bit of smooth caramel, very slight citrus/orange flavor, but a lil kick of some spice
- WoW! this is a EFFIN great beer! I can see myself drinking it 24/7
- I highly-HIGHLY recommend it for fresh/dry hop IPA lovers
- I will be buying this by the case when I find it! 10/10

- I was going to review this, but got munted & forgot to write anything. I forgot about it overnight with 1/2 of the bottle still there. I drank the rest in the morning .. it wasn't that bad for sitting overnight & and room temperature!
- From what I can remember it was pretty good, but I'll have to buy another and give it a proper review

Pike - Auld Acquaintance, Hoppy Holiday Ale


Pike - Auld Acquaintance, Hoppy Holiday Ale (5.0% ABV, 1.052 OG, 32 IBU)
- Very little aromatics, maybe some amber malts ...
- Clean & light on the palette, some CO2 feel too .. also seemed a bit watered down
- Not malty, hoppy or barley-y .. very light citrus & coriander, mebby nutmeg spice
- Aftertaste is pretty much the same, clean, light, not much going on with the flavors
- This is confusing to place it...nothing really stands out, besides nothing stands out!
- I would get it again (fresher/newer bottle) to try it again
- Recommend it as a light winter ale for those who don't want anything too heavy with flavors
- overall 6/10

Elysian: The Immortal IPA (6.3% ABV)
- I've had this on tap for a while, and wanted to see how the 22oz bottle lived up to the on tap
- Mmmmmm, pretty much same-same .. tastes very similar to Stone IPA
- I really like this IPA, it's not over sweet-flowery, nor is it over bitter-harsh
- It's a good balance of fresh hops & bitterness
- I can see myself drinking this all day, 9/10

- I am at my uncles house, so pics will be a bit different
- Plus this is my debut of my Nikon D40 pics!
- I took this pic a while ago & drank it while the D40 battery was charging...
- I don't remember a lot of the beer, but I did like it
- It was not a intense smokey stout, or had much chocolate flavors...nor was it very malty/alcholy
- It was pretty crisp on the palette, but definitely Russian Imperial Stout tasting
- I'd buy it again, and recommend it, 7/10

- Deep, dark semi-sweet chocolate, roasted grains/barley aromatics
- Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......OMG dark bitter-sweet chocolate taste, with bits of burnt woody grains/barley
- Very slight bitter chocolate after taste
- This is damn good, I'd consider it one of my fav chocolate stouts now
- Its right up there with Redhook Double Black Stout (with Coffee), 9/10

Lost Coast - Indica IPA (6.5% ABV)


Lost Coast - Indica IPA (6.5% ABV)
- Nice bitter-sweet flowery hops aromatics
- Mmmm, clean/crisp, light flowery but medium bitter hops
- Pretty clean after taste, light trail of the bitterness
- I like this, not quite a Stone IPA, but not washy~weak either
- I would buy it again, recommend if you want a bit more bitter, a little less flowery hops IPA .. 7.5/10

Samuel Adams - Noble Pils Lager


Samuel Adams - Noble Pils Lager
- Grains & hops aromatics, like a strong typical pilsner type smell
- Clean tasting hops, complex, not flowery or sweet like a dry or infused hop beer
- I really have a tuff time with these Lagers, very different to ID the different tastes
- Almost has a citrus/coriander flavor, but bitter
- I can taste the hops, they kinda blend in with one another, but has a woodsy type bitter taste
- Different .. its a Pilsner, but more robust & hoppy.
- I am not sure how to rank this, I don't think I am a Lager type of beer guy, 6/10

Diamond Knot - Industrial IPA (7.9% ABV)


Diamond Knot - Industrial IPA (7.9% ABV)
- Mind you, this review was done with the beer nearly room temperature, so it's taste is prolly abit off.
- Fresh, crisp Hoppy aromatics, not flowery or sweet, also abit malty/alcoholy too
- Amber malty taste with a nice clean medium hoppy bitterness, not flowery sweet
- Man I wish I didn't forget about this bottle on the counter for 4 hours...I am sure it would have tasted much different
- You certainly can taste the malty alcohoness of the 7.9%, I bet if it was cold it would be more clean/crisp on the palette
- I am going to have to get this again and review it cold, but overall it's pretty good room temperature, 7/10

- Plastic dipped bottle top .. friggin difficult to de-cap!
- Also costs $11.99 USD for a 22oz!
- Ultra CO2! Lots and Lots and Lots of Head! Pour with Patience & Care!
- Took 5+ mins for the initial head to go down to pour more into the glass!
- Dark, bitter-sweet, brown sugar, chocolatey malts aromatics
- Mmmmm...DANG! Initial taste is dark but bitter-sweet, smokey chocolate
- Very CO2 feeling, but t-h-i-c-k ... makes me burp almost after drinking!
- Re-taste is.. woody, bitter malty, bitter-sweet chocolate
- Aftertaste is .. umm .. similar, but of a dark dark roast espresso, non sweet chocolate mocha
- Whoa, very different! very CO2-y, makes me burp alot
- Again! do not pour quick or without care! will overflow glass if not carefull!
- If you like CO2 + dark dark, smokey, espresso, bitter non sweet mocha's, get this...
- Not sure if I'd buy it again...it's not bad, but not my thing, 6/10

- Medium body, abit of creamy CO2 feel
- Pretty bitter, but a different bitter than I've had before, not face twisting bitter
- Light flowery hops, but a malty, bitter, medium thickness bitter taste
- Aftertaste has a lil kick of something else bitter too, has trails of nutty & citrus flavors
- Dang this is alcoholy too at 10%! Prolly one of the most ABV IPA that I can remember
- I prolly would but it again, though if there was other IPAs I would get them 1st
- Recommend if you want a different pretty bitter IPA that'll get ya crunk fast
- over all score.. I guess 6.5/10

- Typical Belgium Tripel aromatics (light fruits, citrus, banana/coriander)
- Mediumish mouthy, clear~cloudy feel, not very CO2'y
- semi-bitter flavor, then the semi-sweet banana/coriander taste, and finishes with some bitterness
- Hmmm .. different kind of Tripel, fairly bitter IMHO, not very citrus/banana smooth
- Not sure if I would buy it agian...well once more to confirm it's taste later on

- Whoooah! fairly bitter! well it is for me, would prolly be very pucker-bitter for non bitter drinkers
- Dark chocolate, coffee, smokey malts
- I like this! it's like a Ultra IPA Stout, will buy again for sure, recommend if you like Bitter & Stout beers, 8.5/10
